Who we are

A small, independent practice that treats your money like it matters. Because it does.

Most people don't need another product. They need someone who will sit down, look at the whole picture, and tell them the truth about where they stand and what to do next.

That's what we do. Planning, investing, and taxes are handled together by people who actually talk to each other, and who will still be here when life changes.

A family cooking together in their kitchen

Building a life, and a plan to match.

Careers are growing, kids are growing, and every decision seems to affect three others. We help you sort out what matters first.

  • How much should we be saving, and where?
  • Are we on track for college and retirement at the same time?
  • Do we have the right protection if something happens?

How we work

What the first year looks like.

  1. 1

    Listen

We talk about your goals, your worries, and the decisions in front of you. No forms yet.

  2. 2

    Plan

You get a written plan with clear priorities and honest trade-offs.

  3. 3

    Act

We implement step by step and handle the paperwork so you don't have to.

  4. 4

    Check in

We meet regularly and adjust as life changes. Taxes included.

Meet the team

The people you'll actually talk to.

When you call, one of us answers. When you have a question, you ask the person who knows your file.

What does a fiduciary financial advisor do?

A fiduciary financial advisor is required to act in your best interest. At Sloan Financial Solutions that means recommendations are built around your goals, your timeline, and your risk tolerance, not around products.

Who do you work with?

We work with families, professionals, pre-retirees, and business owners in Burnsville, the south metro, and across the Twin Cities. Many clients come to us at a transition point: a new business, a growing family, a sale, or retirement.

Do you offer tax preparation and tax planning?

Yes. We prepare individual and small business tax returns and coordinate tax planning with your overall financial plan, so decisions about retirement contributions, business income, and investments are made with taxes in mind.

How do you charge for your services?

We explain fees clearly before you commit to anything. Depending on the service, compensation may be a planning fee, an asset-based advisory fee, or a flat fee for tax preparation. Full details are available in our Form CRS.

What happens in a first meeting?

The first conversation is about you, not paperwork. We talk through your goals, your concerns, and the decisions in front of you. From there we outline what a plan could look like and you decide whether it makes sense to move forward.

Is there a minimum to work with you?

We do not believe good advice should wait until you have a certain net worth. Reach out and we will be honest about whether we are the right fit.

Let's talk about what's next.

A phone call or an email is all it takes. We'll sit down, in the office or over video, and talk through where you are and where you'd like to be.
